herd-book blanc-bleu belge – the genetic reference for the bbb breed since 1973, the herd-book blanc-bleu belge (bbb) has been the official national organization dedicated to the selection, promotion, and preservation of the blanc-bleu belge cattle breed. independent and managed by breeders for breeders, this herd-book today includes nearly 2,000 breeders, with more than 90,000 cows and 2,500 bulls registered, out of a national population of 540,000 bbb cows. present at the sommet de l’elevage, the herd-book bbb highlights a rigorous selection based on the performance, conformation, and sustainability of the breed. a true pillar of the genetic development of the blanc-bleu belge, it supports breeders in producing profitable, muscular animals adapted to market demands.
