Automed is an Australian-born startup, now based in Iowa (USA), that is revolutionizing the administration of veterinary treatments in livestock farming. Conceived by David Edwards, son of a pig and sheep farmer, the Automed system allows for the precise administration of veterinary product doses, automatically calculated according to the live weight of each animal, thanks to integration with weighing systems like Gallagher or Tru-Test. Lightweight (under 500g), ergonomic, and easy to use, the Automed dosing gun can also operate in manual mode with a fixed dosage for vaccinations. All dosing data is recorded, which facilitates stock management and health monitoring of the herd. Thanks to a wide range of adapters (3ml/10ml injection, intranasal, 20ml drench/pour-on...), all equipped with RFID antennas, Automed adapts to all types of livestock farming and protocols.
