On the national and international market for agricultural technology, HIMEL has made a name for itself for over 70 years in the fields of grinding & mixing systems, storage & grain systems, feed mixers, straw systems, barn technology and barn construction. The medium-sized company currently employs around 200 people worldwide. The main production site is located in Melchingen, Swabia, south of Stuttgart. HIMEL is a global company with sales and service outlets in countries such as Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, West Africa, Ghana and Saudi Arabia. The HIMEL team now works in project-based groups on networked CAD and CAM workstations . The team, made up of motivated and skilled staff, makes HIMEL not only a manufacturer of food preparation systems, but also a competent partner for all matters relating to food processing technology. Over 1,000 reference farms throughout Germany and worldwide support this claim. The quality of HIMEL products is attested by practical tests in trade journals, TÜV inspections, DLG inspections, the CE mark, and quality and environmental management certifications in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 and 14001. The traditional family business has been managed since 1999 by the founder’s sons, Werner and Martin Hirlinger. With the handover of the business, two competent and committed successors have taken the helm of the company, who will continue to consolidate HIMEL’s position in the international market in the new millennium.
