Droughts, which become increasingly severe and frequent, affect the production of forages commonly used (grassland, forage maize), threatening the feed self-sufficiency of ruminant farming systems. With a budget of €757,000 and support from FranceAgriMer [a CASDAR Connaissances project coordinated by INRAE and accredited by VEGEPOLYS VALLEY], GRAM’IN ÉTÉ aims to promote the use of summer forage grasses in France to help ruminant farming systems adapt to climate change. The experimentations will be implemented across six regions and will involve 14 partners through 2029.
