Repeated heatwaves are taking their toll on livestock farms: heat stress, increased mortality rates, and a decline in animal welfare and forage resources. Agrivoltaics provides a tangible benefit: shaded areas, a reduction in the perceived temperature, and a microclimate. Through its ELENCO range and its ECHO regeneration programme, Amarenco demonstrates how this approach boosts farms’ resilience to heatwaves, whilst providing farmers with an additional source of income and helping to maintain their cash flow.
