From Nouv'Afer to SEDAEL 2030: collaborative initiatives and innovation transfer in support of livestock farmers in Réunion

The Casdar Nouv'Afer project helped create a collective momentum that enabled livestock farmers in Réunion to adopt new forage-related know-how. It also led to the development of various tools and transfer methods tailored to different audiences: farmers, technicians, learners, and teachers. This work also highlighted the importance of developing demonstration materials for all these groups. The establishment of an innovation and demonstration facility, the SEDAEL Farm, dedicated to the management of Réunion’s beef cattle herd, will complement this conference with testimonials from local stakeholders in Réunion.
