Conducted by the Regional Chambers of Agriculture of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie, the Livestock Institute and INRAE, with financial support from the Adour-Garonne Water Agency, this study addresses the following questions: What ecosystem services are provided by grasslands and grass-based farming systems? What are the trends in change and the characteristics of grass-based farming systems in the Adour-Garonne basin? What are the mechanisms driving changes in grass-based farming systems and their associated challenges, based on four case-study territories? What are the levers for adapting and maintaining grass-based farming systems in the Adour-Garonne basin?
