Information
Methanation is often reduced to energy balances and targets: GWh, Nm3, and more.
However, it also has significant impacts on agricultural systems that are not reflected in these assessments.
The Chambers of Agriculture in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, in partnership with GRDF and Ambitions Biogaz 2028, are proposing new indicators to highlight the most important impacts: area under intermediate crops for energy use, number of farmers involved, tonnes of fertilizer equivalent produced, and more.
