Information
The "Pâturond" project, which has been running since 2022 across 18 French livestock farms, compares multi-paddock adaptive grazing – an innovative method originating in North America that aims to promote the provision of environmental services – with two conventional methods: continuous grazing and rotational grazing. This study assesses their performance in terms of livestock production, grassland functioning, carbon sequestration, biodiversity and workload. This presentation will outline the key findings from three years of monitoring and discuss the prospects offered by these different grazing methods.
